Lorraine Dean
Working with black clay, thread, chain and forged steel, I create vessels and installations that explore the transformative power of repetition. Through slow, deliberate acts of making, assembling and embellishing, material becomes a record of time, endurance and memory. Each mark, link and stitch accumulates into surfaces where ornament and structure become inseparable. Balancing weight with fragility, my work invites moments of quiet contemplation, revealing resilience, connection and the enduring traces of the maker's hand.
