Residing in the coastal town of Lennox Head, Donna Albany's artworks traverse between her rugged ocean surroundings and the vast desert terrain of her ancestral home. Her landscapes depict the physical forms of the natural world but also exist as a place of spiritual contemplation and connection. Donna’s ceramic platters and coolamons reflect the textures, colours, and stories of these landscapes, capturing their essence, evoking in the viewer their own memories and connections. A visual homage to Place, reflecting on the timeless wisdom of the land, inviting viewers to immerse themselves in its beauty and vastness.
