Leah Anketell
LEAH ANKETELL
Born in Bulli NSW 1984, Leah Anketell was raised in an abandoned hospital in a small town with a population of 6000. 'Glen Innes' is a town on the Northern Tablelands of New South Wales, Australia, known for sapphire fossicking within its creek valley's & production of beef cattle. Leah's paintings originate with her childhood visions & strong influence of the Australian 'outback' culture. In her current series, she uses oil paints on large spectrum linen canvas combining mostly large scale nature subjects with a bold pallet that immediately demands attention and curiosity. She is currently considered to be one of the region’s young emerging artists and is showing exclusively at
Ninbella Gallery in Bangalow NSW.
