Colleen DaRosa 'Light Pools Cluze'
Colleen employs a range of light transforming media in her investigation with “light”. This series of works in encaustic, plexiglass and with paper, offer a palpable experience of light at play. She has been using a hand-cut and torn paper technique with a deliberate layered construction to create the Light Pools series. The waxy luminosity of encaustic medium is also being employed in paintings that ooze with luscious surfaces in this series. Colleen is also creating Light Floats, in which light is captured and transformed in Plexiglas sculptural constructions.
