Michael was born on the 27th October 1966 at Murwillumbah hospital. He grew up at Tweed Heads and when he was five my parents moved to Kirra. Michael went to several schools and left high school in 1981, when he was half way through year nine. His brother found me a job with Thiess Bros (earthmoving contractors) where I received good money for a fifteen and half year old. In 1998 his son Rory was born and it was the proudest day of his life. Michael thought now he could get his act together and stop drinking and be a father. But it was not meant to be. Eventually his partner separated from him. He went on one hell of a bender that lasted about 18 months. It was a painful time in his life. Finally in October of 2000 He had had enough of the insanity and loneliness of alcohol so Michael “chucked the towel in”. He has been sober and clean for nearly twenty years now. He has his son back in my life, and They have a special relationship. Michael has since re partnered and they've has a gorgeous baby girl.
